The 2024 college football regular season is done, but now, the crazy part begins: Yes, it's transfer portal season!

Which is why, with portal season starting up again, we're ramping back up our transfer portal tracker

Bookmark this page, as we will constantly updating this page with every relevant piece of news related to the college football portal.

Also, make sure you're following our transfer portal social media handle - on

Wednesday, January 8th

Tyler Van Dyke finds a new home out of the Transfer Portal: Former Wisconsin and Miami quarterback Tyler Van Dyke has committed to play for SMU out of the Transfer Portal. This move does not make much sense because it is his last year in college and SMU is set at quarterback with Kevin Jennings under center.

Van Dyke has shown some promise in his college career and has 7,900 passing yards, 55 passing touchdowns, and 23 interceptions with a 63.7% completion percentage. The 6'4" and 225-pound senior fits well in the SMU offense, but this move is still a massive head-scratcher.

Tuesday, January 7th

Iowa gets their quarterback for 2025: Former South Dakota State quarterback Mark Gronowski, has decided to transfer to Iowa out of the Transfer Portal. The Illinois native is staying close to home and will be an instant impact for the Hawkeyes.

Iowa improved their offense this past season and they should improve even more with Gronowski. He has 10,330 passing yards, 93 passing touchdowns, and 20 interceptions with a 63.5% completion percentage. He would be an interesting fit for the Hawkeyes next season.

Monday, January 6th

Georgia loses a former five-star recruit to the Transfer Portal: Damon Wilson II has decided to transfer from Georgia after two seasons with the Bulldogs. He has a lot of potential as an edge rusher, but he could not completely hit his ceiling as five-star recruit.

The 6-4 and 250-pound linebacker has a lot of versatility and should have teams lining up for his services out of the Transfer Portal. The Florida native would probably stay near the south, but his athleticism should have teams from all over wanting him for help off the edge.

Sunday, January 5th

The Branch Brothers have a New Home: After transferring away from USC, the Branch brothers have committed to play at Georgia. Zachariah Branch is a former five-star recruit at wide receiver, while Zion Branch is a former four-star recruit at safety.

Zachariah Branch has so much potential as a playmaker and wide receiver, but this has not been fully realized. In two seasons at USC, Branch only has 823 yards and three touchdowns on 78 receptions. He has a chance to explode in a Georgia offense that needs more playmakers. Zion Branch is a great depth piece for the Bulldogs in the secondary, but probably won't start for Georgia. These are two pieces that instantly improve the Bulldogs after a disappointing end to the year in the Sugar Bowl.

Saturday, January 3rd

Starting offensive tackle is the latest Alabama player to enter the transfer portal: Alabama lost yet another key piece to the transfer portal as starting offensive tackle announced that he will transfer.

Pritchett started all 13 games for the Tide this year, but did struggle at times allowing 31 pressures on the season according to PFF.

He is a former five-star in the class of 2022.

An SEC school adds a key defensive piece in the portal: As Kentucky has landed former Washington State defensive tackle David Gusta.

Gusta is a monstrous 300+ lb. defensive tackle who finished the season with three TFL's and one sack, tallying 21 total tackles.

He was listed as the top available defensive lineman still available according to On3.

Thursday, January 2nd

A dynamic playmaker is visiting Florida State: A dynamic playmaker is visiting Florida State on Thursday, as On3 reports that former Tennessee wide receiver Squirrel White will be in Tallahassee.

The speedy 5'10 White was one of the Volunteers most productive playmakers over the last three years, with his best season coming in 2023 when he had 67 catches and two touchdown grabs. Due to a slew of injuries he was limited to just 34 catches in 2024.

Wednesday, January 1

A star SEC receiver is in the portal: A star SEC receiver is in the portal, as Texas A&M's Noah Thomas will transfer in news first reported by On3.

The 6'6 Thomas is a monster receiver, finishing with 39 catches and eight touchdowns this year for the Aggies.

A junior, Thomas has one year of eligibility remaining.

Saturday, December 28th

A former five-star hits the portal at the last minute: A former five-star has hit the portal at the last minute, as Tennessee wide receiver Mike Matthews announced he will transfer.

Matthews was a five-star member of the class of 2024, but only saw limited playing time as a freshman, making seven catches for one touchdown in his only season in Knoxville.

His decision to depart comes just hours before the portal officially closes on Sunday.

Tuesday, December 24th

Mississippi State adds one of the best running backs in the Transfer Portal: Former South Alabama running back Fluff Bothwell has committed to play at Mississippi State. The Alabama native has three more seasons of eligibility remaining.

Bothwell has great size, at 5'10" and 219 pounds, and he had a great freshman season with 832 yards and 13 touchdowns on 111 carries. He provides some much-needed help in the backfield for the Bulldogs. This is a massive upgrade for Mississippi State and Bothwell should be an instant difference-maker next year.

Nebraska just added a stud receiver for Dylan Raiola: Dylan Raiola got a new weapon for Christmas, as Kentucky wide receiver Dane Key has committed to the Cornhuskers.

A former four-star receiver out of state power Lexington Catholic, Key had a productive three seasons with his home-state Wildcats. This season he led the team with 47 receptions to go along with two touchdown receptions.

However, the Wildcats as a team struggled to pass the ball, finishing 110th nationally and 14th out of 16 SEC teams.

Indiana picks up its second big-time commitment of the day: As App State wide receiver Makai Jackson has committed to the Hoosiers.

The speedy 6'0 Jackson had 46 catches for 745 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns in 2024, and caught 85 balls in 2022 as well.

He'll have one season of eligibility remaining.

An elite G-5 receiver has committed to Arkansas: As former Charlotte wideout O'Mega Blake is headed to Fayetteville.

Blake began his career at South Carolina before heading to Charlotte this year where he put up monster numbers, catching 32 balls, for 795 yards and nine touchdowns.

He'll now head back to the SEC with one year of eligibility remaining.

Indiana gets its next starting QB: Indiana football has found its replacement for Kurtis Rourke, as former Cal signal-caller Fernando Mendoza has committed to the Hoosiers.

This is a huge get for Indiana, as Mendoza was ranked as the No. 1 available QB in the portal this winter. He threw for 3,004 yards and 16 touchdowns, completing 68% of his passes.

Mendoza will now join his brother Alberto Mendoza who is also on the Hoosiers roster.

Monday, December 23rd

Ohio State grabs a massive tight end out of the Transfer Portal: Former Purdue tight end and one of the best tight ends in the Transfer Portal, Max Klare, has committed to Ohio State. Klare has two seasons of eligibility remaining and it makes a lot of sense with him being from Ohio.

Klare is a massive tight end at 6'5" and 240-pounds. He also has 881 receiving yards and four touchdowns on 73 receptions in his college career. He is an instant difference-maker for the Buckeyes and should fit in extremely well in this Buckeyes offense.

South Carolina grabs their quarterback of the future out of the Transfer Portal: Former Ohio State freshman and four-star quarterback Air Noland has transferred to South Carolina after one season with the Buckeyes. He will have four seasons of eligibility remaining.

The 6'2" and 192-pound Georgia native, was one of the best quarterbacks available in the 2024 recruiting class and he left Ohio State after their quarterback room got very crowded. He should find some success with South Carolina.

Michigan lands former Fresno State star quarterback: Former Fresno State Mikey Keene has committed to play for Michigan out of the Transfer Portal. He will have one more season of eligibility remaining and will most likely be a bridge quarterback for the Wolverines while Bryce Underwood gets ready.

The 5'11," 200-pound Arizona native has 8,245 passing yards, 65 passing touchdowns, and 28 interceptions, with a 67.8% completion percentage. He should be a big improvement under center compared to anything that the Wolverines had last year.

Texas A&M lands a huge piece off the edge for their defensive line: Former Georgia defensive lineman, Samuel M'Pemba, has committed to Texas A&M out of the Transfer Portal. M'Pemba is a former four-star recruit that barely played last year in his first season with the Bulldogs. He will have three more years of eligibility remaining.

The Florida native is a freak athletically, at 6'3" and 250 pounds. He has so much potential and he should be an instant difference-maker for the Aggies off the edge along the defensive line. The Aggies immediately got better on defense and he should be unleashed thanks to Mike Elko on defense.

Sunday, December 22nd

Auburn lands one of the best wide receivers out of the Transfer Portal: Former Georgia Tech wide receiver, Eric Singleton, has committed to Auburn out of the Transfer Portal.

Singleton has two more seasons of eligibility, and the 5'11" 190-pound wide receiver was a huge key for the Yellow Jackets this past year. He had 754 yards and three touchdowns on 56 receptions. The Georgia native was arguably the best receiver in the portal and should be an instant difference-maker for the Tigers on offense. They desperately need help on that side of the ball.

Missouri gets a big quarterback out of the Transfer Portal: Former Penn State backup quarterback Beau Pribula has committed to Missouri out of the Transfer Portal. Pribula will have two years of eligibility remaining after having 464 passing yards, nine touchdowns, and one interception with a 66.1% completion percentage during his career with the Nittany Lions.

It was a bit of a surprise considering Pribula is from York, Pennsylvania. He is 6'2" and 207 pounds and was a former three-star recruit out of high school. He has a lot of potential and should be an instant difference-maker for the Tigers with Brady Cook moving on since he is out of eligibility.

Florida State adds a legacy player out of the Transfer Portal: Former USC wide receiver, Duce Robinson has committed to play for Florida State out of the Transfer Portal. Robinson decided to go to Florida State and play where his dad played football. Robinson is a former five-star recruit and has two more seasons of eligibility remaining.

Robinson is an Arizona and Florida native and is massive, at 6'6" and 220 pounds. Robinson has not realized his full potential in college just yet. He has 747 yards and seven touchdowns on 39 receptions. Robinson should be a masive target for the new Gus Malzahn-led offense in Florida State.

Saturday, December 21st

Northwestern adds an underrated quarterback out of the Transfer Portal: Former SMU quarterback Preston Stone has committed to play for Northwestern out of the Transfer Portal. The Dallas native is a former four-star recruit and should find some success in his last season of eligibility in college.

The 6'1" and 219-pound quarterback has been inconsistent in his college career, but has shown flashes. He has 4,030 yards, 35 passing touchdowns, and eight interceptions with a 59.3% completion percentage. He could be the difference-maker the Mustangs need.

Arizona lands one of the more electric running backs out of the Transfer Portal: Former Texas State and Houston Christian running back Ismail Mahdi has committed to Arizona out of the Transfer Portal. He is an all-purpose weapon and led the entire country in all-purpose yards with 2,169 in 2023. He then had a solid year this year but took a dip with 991 yards and four touchdowns on 183 carries.

The 5'9" and 180-pound athlete has one year of eligibility remaining. He can run the ball, catch the ball, and return punts/kickoffs. Mahdi will be used all over the field for Arizona in a revamped offense next year.

An elite cornerback is headed to Miami: As Michigan State's Charles Brantley has committed to the Hurricanes.

Brantley was one of the Spartans' best defenders this season, finishing with 27 tackles, three interceptions and seven PBU's.

LSU adds two mega commitments via the transfer portal: Brian Kelly's red-hot portal run has continued, as LSU has picked up two of the best players available on Saturday.

The first was Florida State edge rusher Patrick Payton. Payton was an All-ACC performer on the Seminoles 2023 ACC title team, finishing with 14.5 TFL's and seven sacks. This past season he was still solid on a struggling Florida State squad, finishing with 11 TFL's and four sacks.

The Tigers also added Virginia Tech offensive lineman Braelin Moore, believed by many to be one of the best available offensive linemen in the portal.

It continues LSU's red hot portal this offseason, which includes quarterback Michael Van Buren (Mississippi State) and wide receivers Nic Anderson (Oklahoma) and Barion Brown (Kentucky) among others.

Alabama adds a key wide receiver out of the portal: Alabama made a portal addition at a key spot, as former Miami wide receiver Isaiah Horton.

The tall and athletic Horton finished this season with 56 Receptions for 616 Yards and five touchdowns during the 2024 campaign.

Originally from Tennessee, Horton has two years of eligibility remaining.

USC adds some much-needed help on the defensive line: Former Georgia defensive lineman Jah Jarrett has committed to USC out of the Transfer Portal. He will have two more seasons of eligibility remaining in his college career.

Jarrett is a former four-star recruit out of North Carolina and is massive. He is 6'5" and 350 pounds. He barely saw the field for the Ducks. He adds some much-needed size for the Trojans along the defensive line. He should have an instant impact for the Trojans this year in an area of need.

Friday, December 20th

Bear Alexander finds a new home on the West Coast: Former USC defensive lineman Bear Alexander has decided to transfer to Oregon, his third school. Alexander started his career at Georgia, but then transferred to USC after not seeing the field much at Georgia. He was decent in his first season with the Trojans, but this year he was struggling and redshirted and entered the Transfer Portal after three weeks.

The Texas native has two more seasons eligibility remaining. The former four-star recruit is massive, at 6'3" and 315 pounds. He also has 61 total tackles, 36 solos, and 3.5 sacks in his career. He should be an nice addition for Oregon on the defensive line.

Ole Miss picks up a huge receiver out of the Transfer Portal: Former Alabama receiver Caleb Odom has committed to Ole Miss out of the Transfer Portal. The Georgia native has three more years of eligibility remaining in his college career.

Odom only had seven receptions for 65 yards this past season for Alabama. At 6'5" and 227 pounds, Odom is a huge receiver and still has a lot of potential as a four-star recruit coming out of high school. He should fit like a glove in the Ole Miss offense and what Lane Kiffin wants to do on offense.

Missouri lands one of the best running backs available in the Transfer Portal: Former UL Monroe freshman running back Ahmad Hardy has committed to play at Missouri. The Mississippi native was great as a freshman for the Warhawks and has three more seasons of eligibility in his college career.

At 5'10" and 205 pounds, Hardy has the size to compete in the SEC. As a freshman, he had 1,351 yards and 13 touchdowns on 237 carries at UL-Monroe. He should be primed to grow and develop with Missouri and be a great running back for the Tigers.

Georgia Tech gets a receiver to try and replace Eric Singleton out of the Transfer Portal: Former Florida International wide receiver Eric Rivers has committed to play at Georgia Tech out of the Transfer Portal. The 5-11 and 174-pound Tennessee native has two more seasons of eligibility remaining in college.

Rivers was considered one of the best receivers in the Transfer Portal, and he should be an instant difference-maker for Georgia Tech and Haynes King on offense. He was a former three-star recruit but has outperformed that ranking. He finished last year with 1,172 yards and 12 touchdowns on 62 receptions. Rivers is primed for a huge season next year in Atlanta.

Colorado lands a pair of difference-makers out of the portal: Colorado added a pair of difference-makers out of the portal on Wednesday, as QB Kaidon Salter and defensive back Makari Vickers have committed to the Buffaloes.

Put simply, Salter was a Group of 5 star two years ago, leading Liberty to a 13-1 record while throwing for 32 touchdowns and rushing for 12 more. Injuries led to a dip in his production this year, although he still managed to pass for 1,800 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Vickers is a former high four-star defensive back who spent the last two years at Oklahoma. He played in eight games with eight tackles in 2023.

Oklahoma lands arguably the best quarterback in the portal: As former Washington State signal-caller John Mateer has committed to the Sooners.

The news isn't shocking, as the Sooners recently hired former Wazzu offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle, and it was assumed that Mateer would follow.

Still, the Sooners got an absolute stud under center, as Mateer threw for 3,139 yards, rushing for 827 yards and scoring 44 total TDs in his first season as the Cougars’ starter.

Miami adds a talented SEC wide receiver: Miami coach Mario Cristobal made one of his first big splashes in the portal, as the Canes landed former LSU wide receiver CJ Daniels on Wednesday.

Daniels played one year in Baton Rouge after transferring in from Liberty, finishing this past season with 42 catches and 480 yards, with no touchdown catches.

He had 55 catches and 10 touchdowns grabs during the 2023 campaign at Liberty.

An elite edge prospect is now in the portal: As Florida State's Patrick Payton will transfer, in news first reported by On3.

Payton was an All-ACC performer on the Seminoles 2023 ACC title team, finishing with 14.5 TFL's and seven sacks. This past season he was still solid on a struggling Florida State squad, finishing with 11 TFL's and four sacks.

He'll have one year of eligibility remaining.

Michigan adds depth along the defensive front: As the Wolverines appear to have signed former Alabama defensive tackle. The news was first reported by 247 Sports.

Payne is a former five-star recruit out of Michigan who spent the last four years with the Tide. He's played in 32 total games over the last four years, including this season where he appeared in all 12. He finished this year with 14 total tackles including 0.5 TFL's.

He'll have one year of eligibility left.

Tuesday, December 17th:

LSU lands an ex-Oklahoma receiver out of the Transfer Portal: Former Oklahoma receiver Nic Anderson has committed to LSU out of the Transfer Portal. He dominated for the Sooners during his first season, and barely played this past season due to an injury to his thigh muscle. He has two seasons remaining eligibility, potentially a third due to a medical redshirt season.

In his freshman season, the Texas native had 798 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns on 38 receptions. He should be an instant impact for Garrett Nussmeier and the LSU offense next year. Anderson is a difference-maker and is a great pickup for the Tigers.

USC loses a huge receiver out of the Transfer Portal: Zachariah Branch has entered the Transfer Portal after two season at USC. Branch is a former five-star recruit from Las Vegas and he will have two seasons of eligibility remaining in college.

At 5'10" and 175 pounds, Branch is extremely versatile as a playmaker. He lined up everywhere on the line of scrimmage and returned kicks and punts for USC. He also has 823 yards and three touchdowns on 78 receptions in his college career. Branch is going to be an instant playmaker wherever he ends up and should have teams lining up for his services out of the Transfer Portal.

Ole Miss grabs a huge receiver out of the Transfer Portal: De'Zhaun Stribling has transferred to Ole Miss after entering the portal out of Oklahoma State. Stribling was a difference-maker at Oklahoma State and Washington State before that too. Stribling heads to Ole Miss for his remaining final season of eligibility.

Stribling is 6'2" and 200 pounds and is from Hawaii, so himn heading to Ole Miss is a big change for him. The former three-star recruit has 2,153 yards and 17 touchdowns on 161 receptions in his college career. He should be a great fit with Ole Miss and the offense that Lane Kiffin likes to run.

Kevin Concepcion is lining up some big visits this week: Kevin Concepcion has some big visits lined up this week. He is visiting Miami and Texas A&M this week after already visiting Alabama and Colorado. He has two more seasons of eligibility remaining and is arguably the best receiver available in the Transfer Portal.

The 5'11" and 187-pound receiver from North Carolina has been great with the Wolfpack and is only going to get better wherever he lands. He has 1,299 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns on 124 receptions. Concepcion is in line for a big impact and a big payday wherever he ends up.

Baylor lands one of the best receivers in the Transfer Portal: Former Alabama receiver and four-star receiver, Kobe Prentice, has committed to play for Baylor out of the Transfer Portal. The Alabama native will have one more year of eligibility in his college career.

The 5'10" and 188-pound receiver has 780 yards and five touchdowns on 60 receptions in his college career. Prentice has shown a lot of potential in college, but has not fully hit his ceiling with the Crimson Tide. He will instantly be the best receiver available for the Baylor Bears on offense and should be huge for next year.

Mississippi State gets their quarterback out of the Transfer Portal: Former five-star quarterback Luke Kromenhoek has committed to play for Mississippi State after transferring from Florida State after just one season. He has three years of eligibility remaining in college.

Kromenhoek has a lot of potential at 6'4" and 208 pounds, and he can build off his stats of 502 yards and three touchdowns with a 52.4% completion percentage. He should be a great fit in Jeff Lebby's offense in Starkville.

Alabama loses yet another defensive player to the portal: Just one day after losing former five-star defensive back Jaylen Mbakwe to the portal, Alabama has lost another defensive depth piece - as 247 Sports' Matt Zenitz is reporting that defensive tackle Damon Payne will enter the transfer portal as well.

Payne is a former five-star recruit out of Michigan who spent the last four years with the Tide. He's played in 32 total games over the last four years, including this season where he appeared in all 12. He finished this year with 14 total tackles including 0.5 TFL's.

He now becomes the 16th known member of the Alabama roster who has elected to transfer.

Auburn adds yet another piece on the offensive side of the football: As on early Tuesday, former USC offensive tackle Mason Murphy committed to the Tigers. The development was first reported by On3's Pete Nakos.

Murphy is an o-lineman who comes to the Plains with plenty of experience. Murphy started 22 games at both tackle and guard for the Trojans over the last three years.

He'll have one year of eligibility remaining.

Monday, December 16th:

Colorado lands one of the best defensive players in the Transfer Portal: Former Alabama defensive lineman Jaheim Oatis, has committed to play for Deion Sanders and Colorado out of the Transfer Portal. Oatis was dominant for his first two seasons with Alabama, but he struggled to see the field this season with a new coaching staff at Alabama. Oatis has one more season of eligibility remaining.

Colorado made a massive jump with their defense this past year and at 6'5" and 325 pounds Oatis should be an instant contributor for Colorado. Oatis has 57 tackles, 20 solos, five pass breakups, and 1.5 sacks in his college career. He fits in at Colorado very well.

Penn State lands one of the best wide receivers out of the Transfer Portal: Former USC wide receiver Kyron Hudson has committed to Penn State. Hudson had a solid year, but was in a crowded wide receiver room with the Trojans. He has 655 receiving yards and five touchdowns on 57 receptions in his career. He will have one more season of eligibility remaining.

The California native and former four-star recruit is 6'1" and 205 pounds and provides the Nittany Lions with the big play receiver that has been missing from their offense. He should thrive in this offense next year with Drew Allar throwing him the ball.

Colorado loses an All-Big 12 linebacker to the Transfer Portal: Nikhai Hill-Green has entered the Transfer Portal for the third time in his college career. Green started his career with Charlotte, then went over to Michigan for two seasons and was at Colorado this past year. He finished this past season with 82 total tackles, two sacks, and two interceptions.

The 62"2, 230-pound senior from Pittsburgh will have one more season of eligibility left in college. He will be a big pickup for anyone that needs a leader in the linebacker corps out of the Transfer Portal.

High profile QB transfer Maalik Murphy is visiting one SEC school: Maalik Murphy is one of the most high-profile QB's in the transfer portal, and on Monday he is visiting an SEC school.

Multiple reports have indicated that he is in Lexington, Kentucky, visiting Mark Stoops and the Wildcats.

Murphy's physical tools are unbelievable at 6'5" and 230 pounds at the quarterback position. This past season at Duke, Murphy threw for 2,933 passing yards, 26 passing touchdowns, and 12 interceptions with a 60.3% completion percentage.

He originally began his career at Texas.

Air Noland is now in the transfer portal: One of the most high-profile back-up quarterbacks in all of college football has announced a transfer, as Air Noland has decided to leave Ohio State.

One of the top ranked quarterbacks in the class of 2024, Noland did not see the field this season for the Buckeyes.

Despite it, he should be one of the most coveted QB's available, after throwing for over 10,000 yards and 100 touchdowns during his high school career in Georgia.

A former five-star defensive back has announced he'll transfer: As Alabama's Jaylen Mbakwe will leave Tuscaloosa, in news first reported by On3's Hayes Fawcett.

A former five-star and one of the top ranked cornerbacks in the class of 2024, Mbakwe appeared in 11 of the Tide's 12 games this season, recording 15 tackles and one interception.

Expect him to be one of the most coveted defensive players in the portal this off-season.

Mateer instantly becomes arguably the best signal-caller available, after throwing for 3,139 yards, rushing for 827 yards and scoring 44 total TDs in his first season as the Cougars’ starter.

He becomes the second high-profile QB in two years to leave Washington State after Cam Ward departed from Pullman at this time last year.

An elite defensive back just committed to Notre Dame: As former Alabama cornerback Devonta Smith will now take his talents to South Bend.

Smith was actually one of the more productive secondary players in first year defensive coordinator Kane Wommack's system, finishing the season with 30 total tackles and five PBU's.

Now he will go to South Bend, where the Irish are in the midst of a season where their secondary ranks in the top five in basically every major pass defense category this season.

One of the ACC's best wide receivers has decided to transfer: In what has to be deemed one of the more shocking portal decisions of the winter, Miami wide receiver Isaiah Horton - one of the most productive wide outs in the ACC this season - has decided to transfer.

The tall and athletic Horton finished this season with 56 Receptions for 616 Yards and five touchdowns during the 2024 campaign.

Originally from Tennessee, Horton has two years of eligibility remaining.

An elite edge rushing prospect has entered the portal: As former Top 100 prospect Amaris Williams has announced he'll transfer from Auburn.

Williams is a former five-star prospect in the class of 2024, who was a near-Signing Day flip for the Tigers from Florida. He only saw limited snaps on the field however, finishing his true freshman year with six tackles, 1.5 TFL's and half a sack.

Despite his up-and-down freshman year expect him to be one of the most coveted defensive line prospects available in this cycle.

Indiana adds a key piece out of the portal: Indiana is getting ready for the first ever 12-team College Football Playoff, but that didn't stop them from landing a key cog out of the portal Monday.

That's because early in the day, the Hoosiers landed a commitment from Western Kentucky defensive lineman Hosea Wheeler. Wheeler was an All C-USA first team selection this season, finishing with 74 tackles, five TFL's and two sacks.

Kentucky gets good news in the transfer portal: As former Arkansas offensive guard Joshua Braun has committed to the Cats.

Sunday, December 15th

Texas A&M lands one of the best wide receivers out of the Transfer Portal: Micah Hudson has transferred to Texas A&M after just one season with Texas Tech. Hudson has three more years of eligibility in his college career and he is a Texas native.

The 6'0" and 195-pound receiver is a former five-star recruit that should be an instant difference-maker for the Texas A&M offense. Despite being a five-star recruit, Hudson barely saw the field and had a total of eight receptions for 123 yards this past year in Lubbock. He will be way more involved in the Aggies offense and should be a focal point in College Station.

Penn State loses their backup quarterback to the Transfer Portal before the CFP starts: Beau Pribula has entered the Transfer Portal and will not be with Penn State through the College Football Playoff. Pribula will have two years of eligibility remaining after having 464 passing yards, nine touchdowns, and one interception with a 66.1% completion percentage during his career with the Nittany Lions.

This is a bit of a surprise considering Pribula is from York, Pennsylvania. He is 6'2" and 207 pounds and was a former three-star recruit out of high school. He has a lot of potential and showed off some of that potential when he came in for relief of Drew Allar these past two seasons.

Braylen Russell enters the Transfer Portal after all: Former Arkansas freshman running back Braylen Russell has entered the Transfer Portal for the second time. He entered on Tuesday initially, before withdrawing later that day. Now, Russell is officially in the portal. He will have three years of eligibility remaining.

Russell is 6'1" and 253 pounds and is a former four-star recruit from Arkansas, which makes this even bigger that he was willing to leave home. Russell had 304 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 47 carries this past year. He is in line to have a massive year, wherever he ends up out of the Portal.

Michael Van Buren Commits to LSU: Former Mississippi State quarterback, Michael Van Buren, has committed to play at LSU per Hayes Fawcett. Van Buren started in nine games for the Bulldogs this season and finished with 1,886 passing yards, 11 touchdowns, and seven interceptions with a 54.7% completion percentage.

At 6'1" and 200 pounds, Van Buren has a lot potential and raw talent, but he needs time to develop and with Garrett Nussmeier coming back for one more season it will do him some good to sit back and develop behind Nussmeier for one year.

Duce Robinson sets up a legacy visit: Former five-star USC tight end, Duce Robinson, has been lining up visits out of the Transfer Portal. He visited Arizona State already and has set up a visit with Florida State. He is a legacy at Florida State with his dad playing football with the Seminoles.

He had 39 receptions for 747 yards and seven touchdowns in his time with the Trojans. At 6'6" and 220 pounds, Robinson has a lot of potential out wide and is one of the best prospects available in the Transfer Portal. He would instantly be the best player on a Florida State offense that needs as much help as possible.

He is a Houston, Texas, native and should be an immediate contributor for the Aggies in the secondary after ranking as one of the best cornerbacks available in the portal.

LSU makes another major addition: As the Tigers landed former Nebraska edge rusher Jimari Butler.

Butler was a stalwart for the Cornhuskers' Top 20 defense this year, finishing with 7.5 TFL's and two sacks.

Now he'll head to LSU, who had a busy Saturday in the portal - as the Tigers also picked up wide receiver Barion Brown (Kentucky) and defensive back Ja'Keem Jackson (Florida) earlier in the day.

Miller Moss is headed to Louisville: Louisville landed one of the most high-profile quarterbacks in the portal on Saturday afternoon, as former USC signal-caller committed to the Cardinals.

Moss' breakout game actually came last year against Louisville, when he threw for six touchdowns in a Holiday Bowl win, but he couldn't quite sustain the success this year. He did toss for 18 touchdowns and nine interceptions, but was eventually benched late in the season.

He'll now have one year to get back on track for the Cards in the ACC.

LSU lands one of the best wide receivers in the portal: As former Kentucky wide out Barion Brown committed to the Tigers on Saturday afternoon.

Brown is one of the top-rated players to ever commit to Kentucky, as a high four-star player, ranked in the Top 75 players in the class of 2022. He had a productive freshman year grabbing 50 balls that season, and followed it up with a 43 catch campaign in 2023. However, as Kentucky's offense sputtered this season, so did Brown's numbers, as he finished with just 23 catches overall.

Despite the numbers dipping in 2024, Brown remained one of the best wide outs available in this year's portal cycle and has a chance to do special things with Garrett Nussmeier throwing him the ball next season.

Former Arkansas tight end Luke Hasz is headed to Ole Miss: Former Arkansas tight end Luke Hasz is headed to Ole Miss, becoming the third former Razorback to commit to the Rebels in recent days.

Hasz had two productive years with the Razorbacks, finishing with 26 catches and three touchdowns this year.

He joins former Razorback offensive lineman Josh Kutas and cornerback Jaylon Braxton who committed earlier on Saturday.

Jackson Arnold is officially headed to Auburn: In both a surprising, and not surprising late recruiting twist, former Oklahoma quarterback Jackson Arnold is officially headed to Auburn.

The school announced the commitment on Saturday morning.

The move is a bit surprising as early in the process it seemed as though Mississippi State, who is led by former Oklahoma offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby led for Arnold's services. But in recent days, Auburn made up ground and was able to close over the weekend.

A former five-star, Arnold began the year as Oklahoma's starter, before being benched and winning the job back later in the season.

He finished with 1,421 passing yards, 12 passing touchdowns, and three interceptions, with a 62.6% completion percentage.

He was a senior this past season at Indiana, but never saw the field much. He has 834 receiving yards and eight touchdowns on 66 receptions in his career with the Hoosiers.

He is 6'5" and 203 pounds and should be able to have a big impact on the Wolverines. McCulley is a former four-star receiver from Indianapolis, so he has so much potential, but has not met it completely in college. Expect him to have an impact with the Wolverines.

Baylor loses a quarterback to the Transfer Portal: Former Baylor and Toledo quarterback Dequan Finn has entered the Transfer Portal after just one season with the Baylor Bears. Finn had an incredible career with Toledo and won the MAC MVP in 2023. He only appeared in three games for the Bears this season due to injury and in his place Sawyer Robertson had a solid year, so he is on the move again.

The 6'2" 206-pound senior has one more year in college and he should be able to have a huge impact on any team that needs a quarterback. Finn should be an instant impact wherever he ends up.

Bowles, the son of Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles was the higher rated of the two, but didn't log a single tackle during the 2024 season. He had five tackles in 2023. M'Pemba also redshirted this year, not registering a single tackle.

Despite the lack of production, expect both to be highly coveted players this off-season.

A redshirt freshman, Brown was thrust into the starting lineup for a struggling Auburn team in September getting a pair of starts against New Mexico and Arkansas. The A&M visit had previously been reported by TexAgs' Ryan Brauninger.

The big-bodied, 6'4 Anderson was a Freshman All-American in 2023, snagging 38 catches for 798 yards and 10 touchdowns, but unfortunately missed most of the 2024 season with injury.

Despite his struggles this year he is still regarded as arguably the top wide receiver available in the portal.

One of the best offensive linemen in the portal is headed to Ole Miss: As just moments ago, former Arkansas starting guard Josh Kutas committed to the Rebels.

Kutas, a 6-foot-5, 313-pounder, started four games at offensive guard for the Razorbacks in 2024. He elected to take a redshirt, but told coach Sam Pittman that the plan was to return in 2025.

At 6'6" and 265 pounds, the homegrown linebacker from Indiana was great and stood out on a bad Purdue team. He finished with 56 tackles, 16 pressures, 10 tackles for loss, and five sacks this year. He would be a great fit for the Tigers if they landed him.

One of the best running backs in the portal is lining up visits: Former Washington State running back Wayshawn Parker has been lining up visits as one of the best running backs in the portal. As a freshman for the Cougars this past season, he had 735 yards and four touchdowns on 137 carries. At 6'0" and 200 pounds he has speed, but is also a bruiser of a back too.

The Sacramento native has set up four visits to stay out west, with upcoming visits to Arizona, USC, UCLA, and Utah on the docket. He will be an instant contributor wherever he winds up.

Nebraska lands a huge pass-rusher out of the Transfer Portal: Former five-star Williams Nwaneri has transferred from Missouri to Nebraska. In two games, he only had two total tackles and one sack this past year.

Nwaneri has the physical tools at 6'7" and 255 pounds which makes him stand out. He is a huge get for Nebraska and could be a monster for the Cornhuskers on defense. This is massive for a Nebraska defense that will only continue to get better.

Morris started his career at Oklahoma before moving to TCU for three seasons and then North Texas this past season. This will be his fourth school in six years. Morris has shown that he is a solid quarterback at the college level. He is 6'0" and 191 pounds, which is a decent size. He should have some suitors at the power level who need a quarterback.

Zeno spent his first three years in college football at Baylor before transferring to UAB, where he threw for over 3,000 yards and 20 touchdowns last season.

A former five-star QB is now in the transfer portal: As Ole Miss' Walker Howard announced on Sunday he'll transfer.

It's been a weird road for Howard in his three years in college football. He's the player who famously danced with Brian Kelly after Kelly got the LSU job, and he ended up playing one season with the Tigers. However, with Jayden Daniels returning last year, Howard decided to transfer and spent the last two seasons with Ole Miss.

However, Howard threw just six total passes while with the Rebels and fell behind Austin Simmons this year on the team's depth chart. He will now leave and have two years of eligibility remaining.

However, injuries slowed him down and the Buckeyes went with Kyle McCord. Brown did get a chance to start the Cotton Bowl, before an injury sent him to the sidelines early in that game as well.

In three years at Ohio State, Brown threw three touchdowns and for a little over 300 yards.

Arizona loses a high-profile linebacker to the Transfer Portal: After three seasons with the Wildcats, Arizona linebacker Jacob Manu has decided to enter the Transfer Portal. Manu was a three-star recruit out of California, undersized at 5'11" and 228 pounds. Still, what Manu lacks in size, he makes up for in effort and is one of the smartest defensive players in the country.

There is a real chance that Manu is testing the market but eventually returns to Arizona, especially since he tore his ACL against Colorado in mid-October. With one year of eligibility left, this feels like a big risk for him to take. Still, Manu might be worth the risk, with 206 tackles, 7.5 sacks, and one interception in his career. It will be interesting to see what happens in the portal for him.

At 5'11 "and 209 pounds, Law presents a lot of versatility for any team that needs a receiver out of the portal.

Caleb Odom also entered the Transfer Portal. He was a freshman this past season and barely saw the field. He only had seven receptions for 65 yards this year. At 6'5" and 227 pounds, the freshman out of Georgia is a freak athlete and should have no shortage of suitors from the Transfer Portal.

Despite the disappointing season, Brown will still be one of the most coveted receivers in the portal, with early reports linking him to schools like Florida State, Texas A&M, LSU and Ole Miss.

He'll have one season of eligibility left.
